I think the only thing that needs to change in the homerun derby is that they add point signs and different signs you can hit for points or winning a car for a fan or more money donations or something like that. Give the fans some stuff too I think.

I thought it was pretty interesting when Pujols was down to his last out, needed three home runs to tie to make it into the finals, and he gets a pep talk from his son, blasts 2 out and comes 5 feet from having a swing off with Vlad! :thumb:

It was a very good family and fan atmosphere at the ball park.

Vlad is just lucky Griffey didn't partake. He could have had Coffey throw to him to boot.

Vlad was my #2 pick to win it, I had picked A. Pujos even though he has been in a major slump. I just had a feeling on it. (He was a finalist)

I think it is amazing he has been in the league for 12 years and still can't speak english.

One thing is for sure about Vlad, he can flat out hit a baseball.

He can flat out throw one too! That is why I really like him.. that and he doesn't wear batting gloves. He is a players kind of guy. Tough at everything (even stealing bases) but doesn't have to run his trap.
