What's the Logic behind this?

Without looking at their team's schedule and pitching rotation, could it be that Oswalt may be the only one that would be able to throw an inning or two? :confused:

 

Probably. The others pitch games close to the AS game.

I guess I look at it like Oswalt is solid and there could be an argument. If you go by numbers alone then he isn't the first choice but there are other factors. I understand the argument if you look at the numbers but I don't think they went and took some horrible player and stuck him in there. In the past there have been guys that didn't play half or played awful make the all star team on name alone. Things happen every year, it's no big shock IMO.

If you told me I had a one game shot at $1 million dollars and could pick any of the pitchers above to start for my team then I'm taking Oswalt without batting an eye! Statistics don't always tell the whole story IMO.

 

Especially if your team is playing against the Redlegs.
