Kings split a poorly scheduled DH today at UK. Lost the first to the Indiana Bulls in the 9:00AM game and Beat the Tenn Tornadoes 8-4 in the 5:00 PM game. Record now at 32 & 6.

 

Why was this scheduled poorly? Whenever a game is scheduled both teams have to show up and play. What's wrong with that?

Young Michael Ogden came up to the 18U Kings and made his first appearance, throwing 3 or 4 innings in Saturdays late game. Seems to hit his spots with an above average fast ball and has great command of a sharply breaking curve ball. Struck out a few Tenn players and allowed no runs.

I think this kid may be one of the best in N KY next year.

Kings lose a tough one this afternoon 6 - 4 to the Chatanooga team. One of those dayswhere their balls found the gaps and ours didn't. Bush threw well after the first inning with Abeling pitching very well in reliefe. We get another shot at them at the World Series in Nashville at the end of the month.

Correction: The Kings won 9-4, not 6-4. And they play the Cinti Flames, not the Sharks on Wednesday.

Kings lost a close one to the Flames tonight 5-4. Back and fourth ball game with the Kings regainning the lead in the sixth only to have the Flames tie it up in the bottom of the sixth. Then in the bottom of the seventh, Flames go yard with a walk off HR. G Wags went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored but the hits were few and far between other then that. The boys will be fine when they get to Western KY on Friday and they break out the woodies. They love to hit with the woodies. Think they hit about 8 out at the last wood bat tourney.
