Update On Gallatin Co.'s Scott Brown

Featured Replies

Brown was hit in the head by a fast ball in the 31st District Tournament against Owen Co. last night and had to leave the game after pitching 3 shutout innings. He went to the hospital for tests and observation and everything turned out fine. Scott said he was told he had a mild concussion.

Glad to see the young man is alright after what looked to be a scary situation for a few minutes.

Really nice kid I am glad he is doing well.

It was a very scary situation. Glad to hear he's o.k.

Glad to hear he is alright. It was sad to see him taken out the way he was. Owen couldn't touch him. I guess that was the only way to win!

Are you saying that this was intentional? I would hope that it wasn't intentional.

I had walked to my car and just heard what people had said and that somebody was smiling after what happened. I thought the ball hit the bat because it was so loud!

It was absolutely NOT intentional.

I can not imagine the Owen Co. team doing this intentional. They are competitors but I do not think they would ever intentionally hurt someone.

Scotty was one of three batters that Trey plunked that night. His control was a little erratic.

What about after the game when a player came over to the Gallatin dugout and then had to be restrained afterwards????

Don't know what was said, but.............

Can't repeat what was said! Scott had to go back to hospital because it started swelling and get it drained.

Talked to Scott at graduation ceremonies today. He still has some swelling, but did not have to have anything drained. He's doing just fine.
