By suspending Diaw and Amare they are basically losing millions of dollars... So you bend the rules for ratings, thus fixing the playoffs. That would go over pretty well...

They barely even set a foot on the floor when coaches corralled them back in. Never were they a threat to anyone on the floor, nor were they anywhere near the play.

May 15, 200719 yr I think the Suns will win game 5 and lose game 6 now. They will b passionate and play very hard in game 5, then when Diaw and Amare come back they will turn in down a notch. There's my prediction. Back to the rule, I think the rule shouldn't be THAT "bottom-line". If their pinky toe comes out of "the vicinity of the bench" they are suspended. It should be a judgement call. I, personally think, Amare is out and Diaw is in. Right now it should be Horry with one game, Amare with one game, and Diaw playing game 5. Amare was headed towards the Spurs team until someone grabbed him. Who knows what he would have done, or not done if someone grabbed him. Diaw was far enough away that he couldn't even have spit on any of the Spurs. Horrible ruling by the NBA, I don't care what you have done in the past to certain players, in terms of suspensions. Diaw should be in game 5. I agree with UKPAT20, the NBA botched this one.

Should let like a 2 be a 3 if the guys foot in on the line to make them go into OT so they get better rating and make more money.

Recipients of technical fouls for unsportsmanlike conduct will be assessed a $500 fine for the first offense, and an additional $500 for the second offense in any one given game, for a minimum total of $1,000. If a player is ejected on (1) the first technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct, (2) a punching foul, (3) a fighting foul, (4) an elbow foul, or (5) a flagrant foul, he shall be fined a minimum of $1,000. b. Whether or not said player(s) is ejected, a fine not exceeding $35,000 and/or suspension may be imposed upon such player(s) by the Commissioner at his sole discretion. c. During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench.
