Congratulations to the Lady Rams.

 

The Lady Rams took their first two games Saturday morning in the opening round of the All-A-Classic State Championship. After defeating NCC 8-3 the Rams defeated Nicholas County 5-0. The Lady Rams then lost to Reidland in the afternoon mathcup 3-0 putting them in the losers bracket championship against Beth Haven @ 12:30 today. The winner will take on the Lady Greyhounds from Reidland to determine the All-A- State Champion.

Just in from Louisville. Great tournament hosted by Touchstone Energy. This was the Lady Rams second trip there in 4 years. Some of the best softball I've seen in years. We finished state runners up to the defending champs Reidland. Reidland is also ranked 8th state wide among all softball divisions. Was very impressed with the play of the Lady Rams. Peaking at just the right time, proving that they can play and compete at the state level. Congrats on a great showing at state!

Between your efforts and accomplishments on the basketball floor and softball field you have made your mark on this school and community! way to go ladies from raceland----there is a girl from raceland who plays 14u travel ball with Wild Thangs from portsmouth, don't know her name , is she old enough to play with the HS team yet ? if anyone knows the young lady I'm talking about . LB

Her name is Alex Meade, and yes she plays jv and varsity. I think she is in

the ninth grade.

The Lady Rams have had a great season so far, graduations. I hope they keep it up in the district and region. The Raceland-Worthington community is proud of them and will continue to be proud of them.
