I have heard Spiderman 4 is for sure. I don't think Franco can come back even if he wants too.......I agree Tobey needs to stay as Spidey. Heard Gyllenthaal might be in the mix.

The early rumor is Lizard, Carnage and Black Cat. BUT considering nothing will be written for a long, long time, it's all just fun speculation.

 

So basically this series is slowly going to turn into Batman and Robin. We get 600 characters, a bad script and a burying of the franchise.

 

THANKFULLY after that happens, the series will take about 10 years off and then we will get a new series of films that will eventually exhaust itself. A FUN cycle to say the least.

I think that Spiderman 4 will be better whenever it comes out. Spiderman 3 was good but lacked the very suspenseful storyline. I love the series and I can't wait to see how they take the next one.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I realize the best part of this movie was the POTC3 trailer.

It grossed almost $150M in one week....I doubt they try to change anything. There will be enough people that go see a 4th that will make it just as successful.

I know it's about making money but producing a good film makes it even better for DVD sales and helping set up for the next film. People loved the first 2, most thought the 3rd was ok. The people who cover the 4th will do what they need to in order to make it better, yes the changes may not be drastic but IMO something will change.

Depends on how comic-like they want to make the movies. In the comics Norman came back after about 2 decades of being dead with the explanation that the Goblin formula saved him. No reason they couldn't do that if they wanted to with Franco.

Seems like with the many decades of Spiderman comics, they can have plenty of quality stories to tell.

 

And if I remember correctly, John Jameson's son, who was the man MJ was going to marry in 2, is an astronaut who goes to the moon and somehow is transformed into a werewolf/manwolf type of creature.
