Wow Final!

:eek: Man, I hope that both teams have some pichers with arms left hanging on their shoulders

 

Way to go Rams!!! :dancingpa any win is a god win and a win over an arch rival is extra sweet . Fairview beat us earlier in the season, they are very well coached and have team that keeps improvng and gaining confidence. The Eagles just may be trouble for someone in the 64th disrict tourney.

The Rams continue to make mental mistakes and base running blunders and make you wonder why this continues to happen game after game. This was a great game from both teams but the Rams should have Won this game in the 7th but 2 costly errors one by the Left fielder and one by the third baseman forced this game to go to extra innings. The Rams need some leadership and I think this is from the TOP down. We have made way to many base running blunders to be considered a great team, because there are to many good teams in our Region. If we have one of the best players in the Region on this Team then why doesn't he step up and be a leader and not get mad when a Coach gets onto him for throwning his glove ON THE FIELD and packs his stuff and starts to leave before another coach has to pull him aside and talk him into staying on the TEAM. WE really need some LEADERSHIP.

Pickoff, why do you think the Rams have won 6 games in a row? It is because the upper classmen have realized their leadership roles and have been getting the guys ready to play every single day. The rams took a big loss when senior Blake Morris was removed from the team and it has taken them a while to get back into the swing of things. But with 6 wins in a row and an 14-6 record, the Rams are finally living up to the pre-season expectations of being a top two or three team in the region. Big game against Greenup monday!

I really do not think that they have played their best yet they still make way to many mistakes, and as far as leadership 1 game the upper classman were not even there. Yes they have Won 6 in a row but it was against Teams we should have beaten anyway. Greenup is a good Team and Greg Logan is a good Coach, probally the best in this area, so yes Monday is a key game and I hope the Rams bring their A game, without all their mental mistakes and base running blunders. I hope We continue to hit the ball the way We have and continue to improve.

I wish the Rams took baseball as serious as they do Football, because We would have already went a lot further than the Football program has.:fight:

Im confused pickoff....are you a Raceland fan? It sounds like you are beating down the Rams and talking poorly about them more than you are building them up and trying to support them....Your statement about Greg Logan being the best coach in the area...wow. While coach Logan is a good coach with a great knowledge of the game, he has yet to prove anything on the varsity level. There is no way you can compare him to the Ben Maynards at Boyd or Coach Vanderhoof at Raceland. Also it sure seems like someone is a little jealous of the Raceland football program. 17 district championships and nearly 30 trips to the state playoffs. Also after an 11-2 season with a district championship, one would think it would not be to wise to make bad comments about the RHS football team and its supporters....I think you need to take into consideration just exactly who's side you are on. If you are for Raceland and wish to support them, then simply post.

Also the game that the upper classmen did not attend was due to the fact that prom was on that same day. There is no way they could have made the game without missing their senior prom.

Pickoff - I have questions and frustrations also at times with the way a game goes wether it be football, baseball or basketball. I also sit back and realize that Raceland has some of the very best coaches and players in the region in all sports. I do not think that coming out on a public forum solves anything. Sounds to me like that you may have some personal issues with a couple of people. I would suggest that you might go to the person/persons themselves and talk with them about it. Although I have thiose frustrations at times I try not to bring it out on a public forum. We have plenty of rivals out there w/o creating problems within our own ranks . I can't tell you when or what to post and I am not doing that. Just some advice from someone that has been around Raceland sports since the late 60's and have seen more than a few games and teams at RamLand. One thing that imo seperated Raceland fans on bgp from some of the others is that we try and stick together and post positive about our Rams and the opponets. JMO.

Why do you have to compare the two sports? We in "Ram Country" support all of the Raceland athletic programs equally and try to not divide the kids. There is enough pressure on our youth today without putting any added pressure on them. I have been around Ram athletics since 1965 and can assure you that the coaches, players and community take all sports serious.

You post as if you are a Ram fan but your comments suggest otherwise. Negative comments get negative results.

The Raceland baseball team has overcome some obstacles the last few weeks and have been on a winning streak. It would be great if we gave the kids our positive support as they make their way toward district play.

:thumb: :thumb: Great post here cville. I agree 100%. Negativity breeds negativity and all it can do is divide that kids that are putting out the effort day in and day out. Are we w/o problems? The answer is no, but is anyone? The answer is again NO. Racleand has had problems in all sports in the past and has overcame those problems by sticking together and not fighting amounst ourselves. :ylsuper:

First let me say that when I said that about football I was saying the same support from the school not the fans. I have been around Ram sports since the early 60s and I wish that baseball got the same support as Football does. This comment was not made at any one person it was made as a overall observation. Field work/money to do the work extras etc. I have been told that money is there but that the right people don't ask for it... WHY. Second the comment about Greg Logan was that I thought he was one of the best, and thats my opinion, if you don't like that I really don't care because thats my opinion. We got beat by Greenup rather easily, and while I didn't like it, it happened. We have lost 2 games to Russell 1 to Greenup, and while again I didn't like it, it happened. The second game at Russell was a very good game which we probally should have won but didn't. Again to many mistakes, but I'm not trying to be negetative it is just facts. I would LOVE for our team to win it all but it is going to be 1 step at a time. We played Boyd County very tough last year in the Regionals,and lost, which by the umpires own admission was because of some Ram fans or Parents cussing him from behind home plate and I don't think that is any way for an official to be but none the less that happened. Lets wait for Greg to see what happens but being that this is his first year and knowing the way the people from Greenup and South Shore are I still think he has done a GREAT job, they ran TJ off. Considering the expectations that we had put on us this year, we have not lived up to them to date, not sayin we won't, which I hope WE WILL.
