Why couldn't you see Jacobs carry it 20-25 per game? He's had no serious injuries since he's been in the NFL. He's young, fresh and ready to carry the ball. Not to mention he's 6'4" 260 lbs, and faster than most LB's and probably some DB's. Droughns isn't there to be the long term answer. He's there to back up Jacobs. Jacobs is the long term answer. He will prove it this year.
