April 29, 200719 yr Two offensive lineman taken in the top 10 kind of makes you wonder. BTW, why is it the Lions only draft Wide Receivers? They have done this with their first pick the past couple years and still aren't winning. Wouldn't they get the hint they need a Qb or impact player on defense? You have to draft Johnson there....He's too good to pass up. They got a QB that isn't much of a drop from Quinn, and will be paying him about 10-15 million less....I'd say they had a very smart draft.
April 29, 200719 yr If the Browns messed up the draft, they messed it up in their favor by being able to get Quinn late in the first round. I say the Lions messed up by taking Calvin Johnson!

April 29, 200719 yr Miami clearly messed up. Ginn at #9 is crazy. Detroit and Cleveland did pretty well.

April 29, 200719 yr Miami clearly messed up. Ginn at #9 is crazy. Detroit and Cleveland did pretty well. I was thinking the same. Miami's coach even had to explain the pick. And he didn;t talk about him as a #1 receiver, but rather a punt returner. It's like Sean Salisbury said on ESPN, " If you're going to pick a receiver that early in the draft it better be because they're going to be your #1," which obviously from the coach's comment he won't be.
May 1, 200719 yr Author Not at all! But that is a completely different thing from this thread. This thing is talking about the draft, and someone said the bengals always screw up in the draft. When yet the Bengals actually have been one of the top teams when it comes to the draft. And well it is true and you can tell that by them having more of their draft picks on the team still than mostly every other team, and still has been one of only 5 teams not to have losing records in the last 5 years. As for the success two years ago we had just a bad luck injury with palmer against those steelers, and well last year they just blew it plain and simple. However when it comes to the draft they have been successful, but you can keep trying to twist that around somehow if you want, even though you would be wrong...:sssh: Bad luck or not, you did lose, but it would not have mattered, because bengals did not have a defense to beat the Colts. How many of those draft picks have been arrested, or in court which have contributed to no playoff wins. Hows that twist for you...

Give it up man its gets really old and frankly its not even funny anymore.
