I think Billy Hicks only had one technical foul all year. He must know just how far he can go.

Are you trying to say that he doesnt argue any calls? He has an assistant on the bench thats sole job is keeping what ref made what call.....

I gotcha, my bad, you are saying he argues...but knows when to stop and that technical he got at catholic was a joke, that was more of a personal issue, I have seen Happy give that same ref about 100X more and he just took it, that tech was a political one!

Hicks was a joke on the sidelines. Greenup will be better off without his antics and constant distractions. The man never agreed with one call that went against his team the whole time he was there...and he showed his disagreement in the most disrespectful manner possible. I don't know him in his private life, but his example to his players in public was to throw the biggest possible fit every time something did not go his way.

When Hicks first came into the 16th Region he was incredibly animated on the sidelines and sometimes let his emotions get the best of him. Once he became more comfortable here with the officials etc.....he no longer acted as you describe. I bet if you poll your local officials you will find they tend to agree with me.

It is hard for me to put credence to an opinion on behavior by a person who calls themself "Bogey Man"". From my teachings the actions he/she describes, are exactly the kind of person that the "Bogey Man" would want.....just maybe the "Bogey Man" has told Coach Hicks that he was "gonna get ya"..........just museing.......

Hicks is a Jekyll and Hyde. I have seen him act extremely nice and then act as far as you can get on the other side of the spectrum. But as recently as this years Russell game, he refused to shake hands with the Russell team after a tough loss and then was arguing with his own fan base after the game. I don't think those are "signs of improvement" and did not represent the Greenup County program in a favorable manner

I think Hick's has a passion for the game and loves what he does, but he has no one to blame for his current predicament other than himself

Shooter you are probably right about his actions after the Russell game this season and I would agree there is no excuse for not shaking hands afterwards. My point was that Mr Hicks has behaved better on the sidelines during games over the past few seasons than he did upon his arrival. Nothing more...I am not in support nor in opposition to Coach Hicks. Just an observation. I have also observed some "not so nice" actions by a head coach at Russell as well......

I believe we've deviated, from the thread topic and discussed Coach Hicks, quite extensively with regard to his court demeanor.

 

The original context was....The reason they are coming is to investigate the wrongful firing and retaliation of Coach Hicks. Let the chips fall where they may. Since we've left that subject, this is a good ending point.
