Billy G. on Joe B. and Denny This Morning

I was listening to Billy G. on the Joe B. and Denny Show this morning. A caller called in and said that there was a rumor that Jody Meeks was going to transfer. Billy G. said that was the first he'd heard of any such... I was just wondering if anyone else heard anything about this rumor.

He did continue on to say that the team worked out yesterday and played really hard for him. He feels that if that effort continues, we'll be a good team next season. He could not talk about any recruits specifically, but he said Friday would be a long day and a lot would be done that day on the recruiting front.

Are they allowed to work out as a team at this point??

I was told they are allowed to have something like 15 practices or something after the season is over. Not claiming that to be a fact, though.

I actually was surprised by his answer though, saying that he was home for a funeral...and didn't know what he was going to do...I was quite intrigued by that sentiment, to be honest...I hope Jodie goes nowhere, unless it's Louisville or Duke.

I took it as Jodie had been home for a funeral and the fans took it upon themselves to start a rumor that he was transferring. I believe that Billy G. left immediately and called Jodie to find out.
