March 23, 200719 yr It was hard watching that press conference today. However I do feel happy for him, because he definitely is wanted there, and you can tell how excited he is to be there. He really never was going to be able to win over everyone here at UK, because from the very beginning alot of people didn't want him here. Pitino was a savior and a God to alot of people when he was here, and so ANY coach who was to follow a coach that people thought of as a God, was going to have a hard time. Tubby probably lasted longer than most coaches could have following what Pitino did here. Now he gets to go to a place where he is wanted and deserves to be treated like for the Great coach that he is...

March 24, 200719 yr I will never disagree that Tubby was not a good coach or even a great coach, but great coaches without the right players make a bad mix. Given the right players with a great coach equates to much more success than UK has has the last few years....One thing he said which baffels me was " fans expectations are never higher then a coaches". So why are UK fans being raked over the coals right now by some in the national media? Are the fans expectations higher than the coaches? If that is the case no coach coming to Kentucky will be able to be successful here.
March 24, 200719 yr BINGO!!!! There's is not a single coach in America that will escape the wrath of some UK "non-fans". Unless we can hire someone that will go undefeated, win by at least 20 points per game, score at least 125 points per game and win a national chanpionship every year. If we hire someone who can walk on water they'll be somebody complaing that "they can't swim"
