June Buchanan VS Warren Central Updates

Featured Replies

Warren Central played in the King of the Bluegrass and the LIT, and a good tournament in Missouri. They also played Christian County, University Heights and Apollo, last year's state runner-up?

Nothing wrong with that schedule ...

I was about to say....

I know they played two top 10 teams in Doss and Ballard. They lost to both, but they played.

Its not a bad schedule. But to be honest UHA was not very good and Apollo wasn't close to a top 10 team. I think Christian Co ended up around #15.

Was Doss top 10? I don't think they were at the end of the year. A pretty good team none the less.

male was #12. Doss was #21.

1. Scott Co

2. Ballard

It looks like Warren Central played a better schedule than I thought. They played a few teams in the #10-#25 range.

Central outscores Buchanan 18-7 in the third quarter.

male was #12.

You should know that wherever those rankings are from (Cantrall?), they're dirt on here. We go by BGP. Those are the rankings in the link I gave you.

Warren Central played in the King of the Bluegrass and the LIT, and a good tournament in Missouri. They also played Christian County, University Heights and Apollo, last year's state runner-up.

Nothing wrong with that schedule ...

In the Missouri tournament, Warren Central beat a team from Georgia that was 17-8 at last report and the top-ranked Class A team from Tennessee, which was upset in the regional tournament by a district rival it had beaten twice by an average of 15 points during the regular season ... a team that lost to the eventual state champion by two points in the semifinls.

The team that beat the Dragons in Missouri was the Class 6A runner-up in Arkansas.

On a game note, it's 56-43 WCHS with 5:30 remaining. You may be surprised to know that Jeremy Anderson still has only 2 points.

Two reasons the game was close at the half ...

1. June Buchanan shot 55 percent from the field and hit more than half their 3-pointers. If they do that, they can play with some people.

2. Warren Central's two leading scorers, Britt and Anderson, were a combined 1-10 from the field and had five points between them.

The Crusaders are 5 for 18 from the field in the second half.
