Good job in tearing down a fine young lady. Terry was a "non factor", as you say, due to a certain official that decided to take it upon himself to take her out of the game. He has done this to her in previous games he officiated in AAU. I know this sounds like sour grapes, but it is a shame a great high school career had to end on this kind of note. Laura is a great kid that will be missed tremendously by the Rose Hill community, but will be a wonderful asset to the University of Louisville. We are all very proud of all the girls on this years team.

I knew well in advance that being critical of the officiating would open myself up to some critcism of my own. Regardless, I chose to post what I did because I believe in my heart that a disservice was done to a good group of girls. They will go on. This loss is not the end of the world. Emily, Laura, Britt, Lindsey, and all of the underclassmen have had a great season. Good luck to the seniors in their next steps, and to the other girls, we'll see you on the court next year. I was at the game, and I didn't see an official carrying out a vendetta against a certain player, as one poster has indicated.

 

Lil' Devil Dad was correct when he labeled Terry as "a non-factor" in the game, considering her lack of production and court time. The comment wasn't intended as a slap ... it was simply an objective observation.

 

And I can't post this without mentioning that some fans couldn't help but note the "soap opera" appearance on the bench ... two coaches standing up in front of the bench during the game as if they are "co-coaches", even though there seemed to be little interaction between the two. There was the body language of certain players and the penchant of one or two to look the other way when Euton talked to them. More than one person commented that it looked as if the coaching staff had little control over the players.

I for one was not "whining." My post was rather matter-of-fact and I did not say the refs cost RH the game. I simply said...and stand by it...that one officials calls dictated the flow of the game. I further stated that PCC may well have won the game anyway. I for one think they have an excellent chance against LCA...and wish them success.

I'm neither contesting nor confirming the accuracy of your post; I don't know what you saw. I simply curious if you intend to post about a host of other matters concerning which it is easy to comment based upon outside observation and perception.

To not have had control of their players, Rose Hill has had a great run. Two District, Two region, and a state runner up in two years. Teen age girls are emotional and that fire usually helps them win games. The interaction between the coaches is really funny since everyone knows how well they get along. But what is really funny is there are no other coaches from the region to comment about because they could not control their kids good enough to win the region.

Having two future Division I players helps overcome some things. For the record, I saw many of the same issues on last year's team ... talent overcame those as well.

 

These are just my observations, guys ... and it isn't the first time I've felt that way, nor was I the only person that noticed.

 

Congratulations on a great run, though ... that team has done some memorable things over the last two years.

Anyone who thinks there won't be issues when dealing with teenage girls has never been a parent. While your attack on the Rose Hill coaching staff is hard to fathom. Once again they lead there team to two district, two region, and a state runner up. If I remember right , they were picked third in most poles this year and fourth in some others. So they must have out coached the other coaches who were supposed to be so good at there craft.

I have just joined this site recently but I have read these postings for years. All I remember from last year and this year was how Kidwell was going to out coach Euton and win the Region. Euton deserves some consideration, because she out coached all others two years in a row. Anyone who watched the Russell game could not deny this.

I'm not attacking anyone ... just voicing my observations.
