Rojas I couldn't agree more very well stated. I like the sweet sixteen system but its a shame that all those teams will not be playing in Rupp.

South Laurel is pretty close to Richmond - they could throw them in too.

10th region champ Clark County is pretty close to Richmond/Lexington as well. There is A LOT of good basketball in the greater Lexington area this year.....

I hope the SC players read the articles in tomorrow's paper about GRC taking down Mason (the favorite)... Tates Creek is every bit as dangerous for Scott County.

Tates Creek is a fabulous basketball team. I really think Scott Co should win but somebody has to take TC.

Tall order for Tates Creek to take down Scott County. I think Scott County is the heavy favorite although I was impressed with Tates Creek early this season.

 

The Creek is very athletic and maybe they are peaking at the right time. Sparks has unbelievable hops and I think has a huge upside. The players around him are very athletic and they have depth. The matchup is very interesting. Have these two teams played each other this year? I don't recall that they have.

In the semi-final game they had #3 guarding Shelvin Mack (BS's PG) - full court in total denial. It worked pretty well and caused Jaron Jones to bring the ball up the floor early in the game.

 

I also think they'll play quite a bit of zone - try to get the lead - and be patient on offense like they were against both Madison Central and Station.

 

Watkins is long and athletic for sure. TC has a lot of weapons and they seem to understand their role on the team.

Good point Gumbo, Watkins has very long arms and gets alot of deflections.

 

I continue to be impressed with Scott Co. They are having an amazing run and in my opinion this is the best team Billy Hicks has put on the court.
