Louisville Spring Football

Featured Replies

I am going to post regional threads on this topic. I want to know what teams in Louisville are going to have spring football practice and what that practice consists of? Then the fun part will be comparing how much schools do in the spring and how successful they are in the fall.

How about it?

Trinity doesn't do spring football.

They will be in the weight room and doing agility and speed drills until dead period.

What do the agility and speed drills consist of?

To be completely honest I'm not sure. I know they do alot of plyometrics. They also do some "agressiveness" work on the mats in the wrestling room. Once it gets warmer they will do sprint work on the field.

This not doing Spring is new. last 2-3 years

Just curious as to why, they don't?

Coach Beatty started to get the feeling that he really wasn't getting much out of it...mainly due to weather, and not being able to fully practice in sub-par conditions...they will get much more out of plyometrics and weight lifting...they will spend enough time on "football" related drills during the summer.

From what I hear its up in the air, Higgins will not report as coach until June and its still uncertain if the leading assistant from last year is going to remain or move to another program. After the change in coaching was made they even quit working in the weight room for the same reasons basically no one to be in charge of it.
