Why not? One more Tubby thread

:thumb: I agree and I think if he does not come back it will be a family decision. I think he has a parent that is in Ill health and that may be a factor.

Kentucky is fortunate to have a class act like OTS and I really hope he returns next season.

I'm almost to the point that I hope he retires after this season, just so all this garbage stops. Even though we all know it'll start right back up after 3-4 years of the new coach.

I post to echo sentiments for Coach Smith and his family. We are fortunate to have them as people and, as a coach, he not only deserves patience to right the ship from this junior class of horrific under-achievers, I am confident he will. I foresee 25 wins next year and Top 10 at some points throughout the year and then a legitimate title contender (1 or 2 seed in 2008-09) when Meeks, etc. are juniors.

I hope he resigns, replaces Billy D at Florida when Billy D goes to UK and then DOMINATES UK in the SEC and takes Florida to the Final 4 6 of the next 10 years, just to drive the TBERS CRAZY.

O how ironically sweet would that be.

You've officially gone of the deep end. :thumb:

You're saying you'd like for UK to lose. Big time UK supporter you are.

I personally do not feel that Tubby is doing a good enough job at UK to be given another year. He's been here for eight years. That's enough for five of his recruiting classes to have gone through UK. I'm sorry, he just hasn't cut the mustard.

Tubby should return ONLY IF HE WANTS to......I personally feel it would be healthiest for him and his family to go elsewhere, but he is not deserving of being forced out.

:thumb: He'd be better off an a different program IMO. Everyone needs a fresh start sometime or another.

:lol: The fire Billy D threads would be all over the place.

It would be some poetic justice IMO.

If he can't get to a FF at UK, what makes you think he can do it at Florida?

Just curious.

He could probably recruit better with Florida's rich history and state of the art facilities.

One interesting tid-bit on that....Good ole Mitch is being rumored to be very interested in the Arkansas AD job come season's end. He's a big football guy, so that would work out nicely. With the disaster that has been the Stan Heath experience down in Fayettesville, could Barnhart possibly go and take Tubby with him? Would be interesting to see what Tubby could do with that roster, and at a school with more "down to earth" expectations.

Anymore kids just don't care about the "tradition or history" of a program. It's a lot more enticing(sp?) to them to tour the Florida campus than UK's. That plus we all know where the best co-eds this side of the Mississippi reside....:D

:thumb: No doubt. And since he's taken every team he's ever coached at to the final four, Florida should be no different at all....wait a minute.

Since Chubbs has been at UK, Kentucky has fell from grace. I am sick and tired of it. They have turned me from an avid UK fan to someone that can't stand them any more. It is obvious that Tubby can't get the job done. You keep talking about the wonderful job he has done. Have I been watching a different team than you? If Tubby stays one or two years more we might as well get rid of the basketball program as far as I am concerned because I don't give a good crap about it.

Chances are if you don't like UK just because of their coach, you probably weren't a true fan anyways.

Welcome to BGP though!
