campbell county parents don't meddle?! Are you kidding? It is something to watch, more than a game to see how they talk about how their kids are cheated and not coached proper, etc. I bet Jones, the AD has already gotten phone calls from a few and some want meetings. I bet some have already spoke out of both sides of their mouth to school administrators but pretend to be the coach friend and team supporter. I bet parents in the girl side are doing the same. For Sullivan, that is probably more to do with poor math than parents.

Sullivan was a good coach, for whatever reason it is my understanding that many wanted him gone. I don't think you can get better than Reitz, his record as a coach speaks for itself. Yeah maybe we haven't been to the region in the past 3 years or to Rupp, but have we had the best talent in the region to make it. Food for thought?

They had the best freshman team in the region a few years ago (Brett White, Marcus Clines, etc.) but didn't develop as well as some other teams in the district. That was a pretty talented group!!

as good as those young men were they were still as skinny as they were as freshmen in the senior year. But they did play aau. If that made any difference at all.

They'll be young next year, as they lose eight seniors, 95%+ of their scoring, and will have only two seniors. A lot will depend on how the younger guys develop and mature, and a lot will be asked of the incoming sophmores and juniors. Wouldn't be surprized to see a sophmore or two start. They will improve as the year progresses!!

Don't throw away those "BEAT BROSSART" shirts quite yet.

 

It could be payback time at the Mustang Ranch for a year, but it will only be because we are young and will have to gain some valuable experience at the varsity level. Those positions were pretty much taken this year, but the vacancy sign goes up this summer and a lot of spots will be up for grabs.

 

There is a lot of young talent in what will be our sophomore and junior ranks and Stortz-Ridder our two seniors will be given an equal chance at securing a starting spot.

 

We really haven't been in a full re-building mode since 1990. Brossart teams have been 285-163 since then and have experienced only one losing season (13-14 in 92-93) since then, reeling off 13 straight non-losing seasons.

 

While we replaced the entire starting lineup following the graduation of McDole, Smith and Company in 2005, that was more a re-load with our present group of established present senior corps who were coming off of a 23-0 season as mythical Northern Kentucky JV Champs.

 

There is no complete unit waiting in the wings this year, so others can take their best shot while they can, because I expect that we will be back in full competitive mode by 08-09.

I agree 100% but as someone else said, did they develop after the seasons. I am coming to the conclusion that many of our athletes go from sport to sport, not spending any time in the off season. We all know that time must be spent developing the player. WHAT did the ones you mentioned do in the off season. The coach does have the responsibility to bring it together.
