Coaching merry go rounds are not good for the program no matter where you are, and Williamsburg is no different. Should Coach Robinson stay he will revive the Jacket program and they will compete from time to time in the district and most years compete in the All A. But for the same reasons other coaches have left I think he may too vacate the job. Sometimes that small town politics can get the best of guys....ie Knox Central.

 

For the most part things seem tranquile in Jacket Land but that can change with the influx of a player (parent) or two.

Interesting thoughts, however, I believe Coach Robinson will stay for a very, very long time! It is a large challenge that is in front of him, but he knows that Rome was not built over night! Unfortunitally, things do happen, three coaching changes within the last ten years, however, that is in the past, I would just assume to keep it there! Go luck to the Jackets in the future:thumb:

I agree, here's to Coach Robinson withstanding the test of time. Give him some room to work and much needed support and things will improve. Politics will not hurt him as long as those in power stand behind their coaches decisions. Since there has been so much turnover within the school system, I think he is safe with regards to those kind issues as well for a little while. Of course as Apex stated you could always have a powerful family or infuential booster make life tough.

I too woud like to see him stay for as long as he wants to, which should be a long time.

I believe that Williamsburg asst coaches do a fine job; just very young and wet behind the ears; just like the head man. However, more support would be great for their staff. Anyway, good luck Jackets!!

I believe that Coach Robinson is a fine young man and will last at Williamsburg as long as he is good to his kids and continues to work hard. His competitiveness will drive him to distraction in that he will usually be an underdog in the 50th. Based on Apex's comment I would bet that he will outlast Coach Deaton at Whitley.

I agree, LuvBasketball. No one that I know of is unhappy. We are all looking forward to next season WITH Coach Robinson at the head of our little family.
