Bracket Packet: Where should Kentucky be seeded?

Featured Replies

Where should Kentucky be seeded? The most impressive thing about the Wildcats this season is the teams they have lost to: UCLA, Memphis, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Florida and Tennessee. Kentucky's best wins list is shorter and duller: Indiana, Louisville and the Vols. Unless the Wildcats do something that really stands out, such as win in Gainesville or claim the SEC Tournament title, they likely won't get anything better than a No. 6 seed.

Even so, they really don't deserve better than a 6 seed anyway. I hope they do well though, getting prepared for tourney time!

What about if they beat Vandy and Georiga I think they will get a 4 seed. If they beat Fla also they might get a 2 or 3.

I think they'd have to win out, and win the SEC tourney for that to happen.

I don't know that winning out would even be enough. They couldn't prove to me that they are a top 12 team no matter what they do.

I think they'll end up 6-8.

No way in the world do they deserve a 2 or 3 seed. At the most they could get a 4 or 5. But they'll end up somewhere between a 6-9.

No way they get 4 or better. More realisticly a 6-9.

The Cats will be anywhere from a #4 to a #7 seed in the tourney...

Not a 4. They are a 7-8 right now. I don't see them winning enough to move up to a 4.

They are a 5 in the 2/21/07 edition of Bracketology. One person had them as an 8-9....

More than one, but like I said everyone has different opinions so we'll see at seasons end.

 We're talking about the same thing in two different threads...

A #4 would be the highest we could move up to with a win over Florida or an SEC tournament win. I see them being a #6 seed when everything pans out though.

I dont see anyway that we would get a 2 seed, we could win out and win the SEC tournament and I still think the best they would give us would be a 3 seed...

I think the best and most reasonable seed we could hope to get this year is a 4 seed..
