St. John is a manchild. Good hands and feet to be so big and young. I am not sure that he will not grow bigger, he might get 6'9 or 6'10 before he is through.

Typical Steve Wright coached club, peaking at the middle-to end Feb. and playing the best ball in March. Every year it's the same story, South comes on strong in March.

Umm, could be, but Hammonds, Smith, St. John and Ty didn't play a single second in the fourth quarter and set out the last minute or two in the third quarter.

South is so big and strong they can really mess you up spacing and getting into the passing lanes. I like their lineup with Bortnam and Hamm along with the big 3. I think that is their best defensive team. Of course the Legend and Coach Wright see them each day in practice and I do not. St. John will be the next in a great line of big men for South. Steele through Allen......plus Fields, Day, etc....heck all the way back to Darrin Hale.

What about monster man Danny Brown, that guy was huge! 6'6 to 6'7 about 280 or so, a wide load, and a decent low post player.

Yes, he did play. He looks like a very good athlete. What grade is he in?

Yep, he only had 12 points ... st.john did a great job on him.

The Perrin kid played at Bryan Station then transferred to Danville, then transferred to Boyle Co. He is a Senior. He put up 40 points against a very athletic Lincoln Co. team.

 

I heard he had to sit out one game and when I looked at this score I figured it was this game.

Yeah, he had six rebounds in the first thre minutes and then was really a non-factor the rest of the game. He finished with seven boards.

The scouting report on him is he doesnt like contact.

After watching him play ... the scouting report hit the nail on da head!

Perrin is a gifted athlete who needs to learn to play within himself. He has his engine red-lined right from the jump ball. Then fatigue begins to set in early, and his play drops off throughout the game. I wasn't there, and couldn't say for sure, but sounds like good defense by SL I think it could be more than that. He had a sub-par game against Mercer 2 nights earlier, and the same thing happened. It looked as if there could be some friction with he and Coach Bottoms. Now is definitely not the time for any distractions.
