A friend at the game told me that the score is Newport 14 Dayton 7 at halftime. He’s leaving shortly and was watching from outside. If anyone else is watching or hears updates in other ways, please post.

Last I heard, Newport is up 21-7. Dayton was driving and threw an interception. I believe it’s in the 4th quarter. Definitely not what I wanted to hear about Dayton.

Disappointing loss for Dayton as a continuation from last week. Not what Dayton needed after last week’s performance against Newport Central Catholic. They finish at Trimble County next Friday than onto the playoffs. Dayton will be traveling for the start of the playoffs after tonight.

I feel like Dayton went from an excellent season into the tank.

Still a good season and one the program can build on. Plus, opportunity still there in the playoffs to make it special.

It isn’t what I hoped for but it’s definitely an improvement from the last few seasons. Most teams they beat earlier in the season aren’t very good but the majority of them also beat Dayton over the past couple seasons too. Even with the downer from the past two games, I think that thing are better.
