I guess the biggest question is how long Owensboro is missing their key players on offense.

Fully healthy, the big 3 with Owensboro, Scott County and Pulaski is anyone's guess. Until then, it's looking like a 2 team race in my opinion.

Woodford just lying in wait. They are always a problem and will be this year as well.

They have never won a state championship, losing in their only appearance in 1969, and have only played in 4 state semifinals ('78, '83, '21, and '25) losing in all four. Not sure they are always a problem. They are a good team most years, but I would not think that Scott or Pulaski are worried about them......

Technically Versailles high school which became Woodford County high school won the class A state title in 1962. Versailles high absorbed Midway and Simmons high schools in 1964 to become Woodford County high school. Versailles High was the main high school in the Woodford County district, midway was just the midway area kids, and Simmons was the African American school before it was fully integrated in the early 1960's.
