Thoughts and prayers with Austin Younger and family. Austin is a standout player for the Freshman Birds. His sister, Mae, passed away in her sleep last night. The whole Bluebird community stands behind the Younger family in these hard times. Birds definitely played with an Angel on their shoulders tonight.

We most definitely got winded! We have some nice athletes and size but we are very thin with numbers and depth this year. Have a bit of the injury bug as well that's hurt us. But make no mistake, Highlands out played us and we just didn't get it done. Back to work tomorrow and get ready for a very good and physical Ryle squad!

He has been coached up quite a bit. He isn't our normal punter. He hopefully returns next week. But the kid that punted tonight has a very strong leg, we have been working with him. It's just not a natural thing for him and he definitely struggles with his technique. But we will keep working with him.
