With any luck, we will soon get college football into February ?

Seriously, what are we doing? It was nice when college football would wrap up before the start of college basketball conference season. We are now around the mid-point of it.

We have gone from a virtual non-existent post-season to a post-season that is now only surpassed in length by the NBA and NHL.

    I agree bug, the extra weeks/length are nuts.

    I think we'll see conference title games go away and the CFP will start at least a week if not two weeks earlier in the next few years. This year's conference title games are Dec 5th, leaving two weeks until first round of CFP. Army-Navy could be moved up to the vacant conference title weekend and CFP could start the next week.
