Cards' Seed....hypothetical at best..

Featured Replies

Not saying this will happen by any stretch of the imagination...but let me give you some scenarios, and then I will ask for your opinion as to what the Cards' seed will be iff the hypotheticals were to happen (only one can)...

1 - they win out. Now, I know that sounds crazy but they have Marquette on the road, and then winnable games against St. John's, UConn, and Seton Hall left.....then they go to the Big East tournament, get a bye....win three....

2 - they lose to Marquette....win the rest of the regular season, and lose in the second round of the Big East

3 - lose out...lose first round of the Big East

4 - lose to Marquette...win the Big East tourney...

1 - 3 seed

2 - 5 seed

3 - NIT

4 - 4 seed

Interesting...if they do what they can...they can make some noise...hopefully they avoid that nasty 5 seed.

I can't see anything they do putting them as high as a 3 seed at this point...

What about the scenario that says they split their remaining games? Not impossible.

I think they'll be one of the teams celebrating on selection Sunday, but if they're a 3 seed I'd be stunned.

if they were to win all of the way out...they are a 3 for sure.

Don't see them gettin a 3 no way. They won't win out. I say they lose 3 more game.

^ for the rest of the whole season? probably.

^ for the rest of the whole season? probably.

And with 3 more losses you still say 3 seed???

^ read my posts above....obviously no...but I think, AT MOST, they finish with 3 more losses total before the season (tourney included) is over.

Louisville WILL NOT lose 3 more games in the regular season, you can count on that.

He said whole season, referring to the Big East Tourney and whatever post season tourney they make it to as well as the regular season.

Did I say in the regular season???

Did I say in the regular season???

If you weren't referring to just the regular season, then why would that affect their seeding? (I don't believe they can get a 3 seed either.)

Probably a 17 or 18 seed.

Probably a 17 or 18 seed.
 Does that translate into a 1 or 2 seed in the NIT?

Yes

^ Very possible but I doubt it with the way they've been playing lately.
