#3 Saint Xavier (27-7) advanced to the elite eight after beating #2 Covington Catholic 75-61 and will play #12 North Laurel who advanced after beating #6 Warren Central 52-38. Tipoff is scheduled for Friday morning at 11:00 AM.

North Laurel was led by Liberty University commit Reece Davidson who scored 20 pts. against Warren Central. 

St. X was led by Josh Lindsay who scored 21 pts. against Covington Catholic.

Both teams played in the King of the Bluegrass tournament so have a couple of common opponents.

Covington Catholic 71 North Laurel 67

North Laurel shoots 38% from three as a team and will be a tough challenge for St. X. St. X is athletic and if hitting threes like they did against Covington Catholic they are nearly impossible to beat, but it will be tough to replicate that kind of shooting two games in a row. I think this will be a competitive game.

    Based on watching both teams play in the first round, this game is no contest, X names the score.
