Notre Dame is playing so well, and if the 18 point win over the Camels didn't convince some people, this will help.  

If not the favorites heading to NKU, they are certainly right there.  Their depth vs HC's lack of depth leaves the Indians needing a lot to go right.

Losing D’Myah really hurt but Coach Arlinghaus has never gone deep in the post season. Starting five play the great majority of the game with a 6th for breathers is about all he has used.  It will really depend how they are shooting the three. That is how they beat Ryle earlier in the season. They will need to be lights out.

A) for sure, I've mentioned it many times, but losing D'Myah was awful for her, but devastating for the team as well.  So glad she has her Youngstown State commitment locked up!!

B) needing to be lights out every night is hard.  

Ted is great, the girls they have play so hard, just not a lot of scoring options this year.

DD - I hate to disagree with you but points B and C are just not true at all. I've seen every single game this year. Did they have a bad game and struggle vs ND last night yes. Pandas came out and made a ton of shots in the first quarter and got hot and the Indians got way behind. It was a bad game. It happens they haven't had many bad games all year. But to say they needs to shoot "lights out" every night and that's "hard" to do every night  COME ON BRO.....Not true in the least. And not a lot of scoring options? Even without DMyah Williams and her 16 ppg they still have nearly 4 other girls averaging double figures (13, 13, 10 & 8). Again I love you DD but points B & C are just not accurate at all. I know you love ND & Cooper you always have but your post is way off on this one.

A lot of teams have to make a ton of shots to win. Cooper made 12 threes vs Holy Cross a few weeks ago and only won by 7 on their home court. HC beat Ryle at Ryle by 18 on their home court then Ryle beats Cooper last night by 39. Their still isn't much difference in my opinion between the top 4 girls teams going into Sunday. It's all about who can make shots on the bigger floor and execute. I just hope they don't draw each other in the first round.

Congrats to ND last night on a big win they deserved it and played better!

RJAL is the one that said "they need to be lights out".  I was only adding onto that when you have very little depth, and not a great presence around the basket, you need to be good and efficient to compete.  They have a lot of strong points, and some distinct weapons, but when Brossart or Lyon County is your best win, and you are 0-5 against Campbell County, Notre Dame, and Cooper, it is tough for me to see them winning the 9th.

I'd honestly LOVE them to.  I think Ted has done a GREAT job there, their runs in the All A have been so much fun, and I think he runs his program the right way.  I don't see them winning the 9th, but I'd sure love it if they did!

I honestly don't expect you or anyone thinking anyone could win the 9th but ND or Cooper. That is expected. We will see I guess. If you watched the 5 games you referenced above, they were in 4 of those 5 till the last minute or two. Not giving a top team in Holy Cross much margin for criticism it doesn't sound like? 

Curious your thoughts on the Cooper 39-point loss to Ryle? Will it be the fluke excuse (they just had a bad night) or is the mighty Cooper vulnerable?

The Ryle win was very good, but Ryle's season in totality isn't outstanding, and they have the same depth issues that HC has.  If you look at the very flawed RPI (less flawed this time of year), Brossart and Lyon County are both better wins than Ryle, but for sure, that was impressive.  They also shot the ball very well that night, which isn't a coincidence.

Exactly no one saw last night's drubbing in the 33rd coming, and honestly, yes, I'd call it flukey.  Heck, I said last night on here, in black and white, I'd still take Cooper over Ryle if they were to play at NKU in the finals.  I have said since November I hope Cooper doesn't win the 9th, so I'm certainly not carrying their water, and I think not having Justin Holthaus on the bench is a MASSIVE difference, but they still, to me, are most likely to win the 9th, with Notre Dame the 2nd most likely, if I was handicapping it (which I will on Monday when the draw is out).  

As for who I'm rooting for to win the 9th, they'd go in this order:  Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Ryle, Cooper....I don't give the 4 from the 34th or 36th much of a shot.
