Madison Central 71 Bell County 57

Featured Replies

Another add on game(2/4/26).  Teams trying to get some games played while the sun is shining. LOL

MC ranked #1 in the 11th and Bell County ranked #2 in the 13th.

Will #1 overtake #2?

I believe they will.

MC by double digits, not a good matchup for Bell Co.

Bell County played very well in the first half. Took a small lead to halftime but Central really shot it well in the third quarter and methodically moved the lead out to the final score. I think Central's size and style wore on Bell as the game went along and the Bobcats were a step slower in the late third and fourth quarter, which also showed on some short shots and weak passes.

That said, I was impressed with Bell County and especially the freshman Ferguson from Bell County. I don't know if they're better than North Laurel but that will be an interesting matchup next Saturday.

As for Central, this was my first time seeing them this year. They foul a lot (more than gets called) but they are very solid. I thought Feldhaus really settled into a groove in the second half after Bell through several different types of defense on him early. Biggest question from just one game is the Indians only played six kids tonight; what happens if the whistle is tight in the region and they have to go down the bench? No matter what, though, they'll be an extremely tough out in the 11th.
