Male (14-5) hosts St. X (14-5) tonight at 7:30. They have already played twice and could possibly play two more with one more a sure thing because they are in the same district. Male won the first meeting 60-58 in the KOB tournament championship and St. X won the 2nd meeting 68-59 in the LIT tournament. Male will be without Trey Hillerich who has a torn ACL and out for the season. Male's Jordan Mitchell and St. X's Jeremiah Jackson will be key as both are Region 7 player of the year candidates. Jordan Mitchell was the KOB Tournament MVP and Jeremiah Jackson was LIT Tournament MVP. I will be at the game and will provide updates.

 

This will be a classic with male winning round three at home.  Predicting a lot of security.

I heard all St. X administration staff going to be there. I think Male staff as well will make sure this environment doesn't get out of hand. 

 

St X looks like a college team when they walk onto the floor, both in size and athleticism. Not a D-1 team of course, but they are better than some D3 teams I've seen in that regard. I have been shocked at how closely they've been played and even beaten. Heyworth is one of the best coaches in the region, and he will put a plan together that will most likely make this a close game. Losing Trey hurts Male, but they still have plenty of fire power.

Both teams have suffered tough losses to good teams following the LIT so both will have some extra energy to get the big win. Male's sophomore big man Hillerich is out for the year with a torn ACL. How does that impact this game?
