Can't kill the champs!

Assumption led 63-58 with 2:38 to go, but the Champs rallied and got the win at St. Xavier.  

Valkyries never led until the FTs with 0.04 left.

That was a good game I watched some of it.

Sacred Heart trailed by 13 points in the first quarter and trailed 48-40 after three quarters.  The Valkyries were led by Brianna Wilkins with 20 points including eight of 13 free throws and the game winners with 0.4 seconds left on the clock.  Tootie Jordan added 19 points including three three point baskets.  Tahri Ralston added nine points.  Riley Gilvin recorded eight points, 12 rebounds, and two steams.  Emma Zutterman was also active on the boards with nine rebounds.  Becca Carson hit two big three point baskets to help keep Sacred Heart in the game .

Ashlinn James led Assumption with 18 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Se'Rae Bundrent-Palmer added 12 points and three steals.  Eulaila Powell recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Jaida Allen chipped in with nine points, four assists, and three steals.  Kylie Moore recorded eight points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Ava Moore added eight points and three rebounds.

Assumption was out coached. Assumption had better athletes who were quicker and longer. Offensively they didn’t run any quality sets, it looked more like free lance offense.  They could have done some many things defensively to force turnovers. 
With that said , basketball is a tournament sport. Maybe Assumption coaching staff is saving some stuff for tournament time.
