Saint Xavier (6-3) will host Madison Central (6-3) on Thursday with kickoff scheduled for 7:30.

St. X is coming off a 49-0 win over Pleasure Ridge Park

Madison Central is coming off a 43-14 win over Bryan Station

Madison Central has a good rushing attack led by RB Corinthian Barnes who has 861 yards and 13 td's. Madison Central is #1 in 6A in rushing averaging 251 yds per game. They also have a stingy defense that is #2 in 6A yielding 11.3 pts a game.

St. X is led by the duo of QB Mason Trimble and WR Marlon Harbin. Mason Trimble threw 4 td passes against PRP and Marlon Harbin had a short night in the blowout scoring 1 td.

The St. X defense is ranked #3 in 6A yielding 13.7 pts per game.

St. X has played a tougher schedule than Madison Central and power ratings show St. X better by 14 pts so this should be competitive game and both teams will have to play well to get the win. This game also has RPI implications with St. X #4 in the RPI and Madison Central #7. St. X has the #1 seed for District 3 and Madison Central the #2 seed in District 8. Who wins?

Madison Central's defense is legit, but I think the offense is too one dimensional to beat the Tigers. I envision a competitive, low scoring game where the Indians' defense keeps them within arm's length, but the offense can't generate enough points.

Bump.

I'm going to try new format for updates. Instead of play-by-play will give updates whenever a punt, first downs, turnover on downs, turnovers, any scores, and end of halves. Will allow for more score and time updates which is what most people care about.

Congrats to Coach Wallace on his great career and last regular season game.

St. X won toss and deferred.
