Really good question especially this season Sub!

For the most part, as much as I can tell, BG is about as healthy as they are going to be IMO.  There are still some players with nagging injuries (as I would guess all teams have at this point in the season), but they have played through them for the most part.  Two were out for Grayson County, but I think that was to get them more ready to go for Franklin County.  Our main kicker was out for GC because he was the starting goalie for the soccer team, but he should be back on Friday.  Barber, Kirkwood and Nottmeier our SR starting WRs are all now back from injury.  So, it's time to just play and not mention injuries anymore (fingers crossed).  Which is a nice change.

@Subway5024 I’d say the concern with the Purples offense if you simply pinpoint the WR position is the timing with the Quarterback. Freshman don’t participate much if any in Spring practice and the transfer SR QB came in at the start of the new year and was a full participant in the Spring. Thus being the presumed starter all through the summer, so I’m sure the majority of the reps were given to Strautman. The silver lining is that the three SR WR’s @Purple88 mentioned two of them are good football players and the third is very special, so having those guys at your disposal makes the QB’s job way easier. Helps that Davis is not your average looking Freshman either, I remember Deuce’s first year too, had moments of shine but a lot of good teaching moments and learning experience. Can’t replicate game speed, this decision will bless the Purples for the next few seasons.

Many years it’s been a question of who is going to give Purples competition in 5A, I am really looking forward to how this season works itself out.

Pass Rush and speed up front. How is this Flyer squad going to handle the speed up front from BG. The Purples speed and explosiveness in the front seven can shock teams that aren’t accustomed to that level of play. Blocking Montez Trussell and Malik Coburn is no easy task.
