I’ll give X, Elder and La Salle credit, they stick with the two color uniform scheme which make them all look sharp in their home unis.

I think tradition plays a part in it also.

Used to be the Bengals, now I'm going with Elder.

When I went to Anderson we were 1-9 for the year. Times have changed. Anderson is not as big of school as they once were. Anderson always had athletes but they specialized in their sport.  Glad too see them get good at football. I know they won in 07 and went to the championship game in 08.

Anderson has been really locked in the last few years. They are handling business in the football world like they are a few steps ahead of most. They have a keen eye for the talent they want but not only that...they develop it. They also have had some of the top athletes from NKY move across the river to get that Anderson experience and I think there is a few that will end up playing for the Raptors in years to come. Winning games is very cool and all but getting kids to play football at the next level is a different type of victory all in itself.

It's crazy when you look at the amount of kids in Cincinnati going to D1 colleges compared to the amount of kids that are going D1 out of NKY. NKY has some ballers and they do put their fair share into D1 schools but there is a drastic difference numbers wise between the two.

A school like Taft who has been okay in division 5 in Ohio has close to 10 kids that will play D1 ball. Withrow who is good but not a powerhouse has multiple kids that will go D1 and they have been putting kids into the SEC in recent years. To where as there may not be close to 10 kids in all of NKY this year that go D1. The talent is there in NKY, yes on a smaller scale then Cincinnati but why does it seem like NKY gets skipped over for the most part for talent around Cincinnati?

Well done “rerun”. That brought a chuckle.

Cincy has so many more kids would be one reason and what good does having a ton of D1 recruits if you can’t win a state title? If that’s not the ultimate goal then just become a football academy. Just paying devils advocate.
