I have said it before but I think Beechwood is far and away the best team in 2a. I think LCA and Mayfield are the next two and then OC, Belfry, and maybe Somerset. I would be shocked if anyone outside of the top 3 I mentioned win it this year. I will probably be shocked if its anyone but Beechwood but with Mayfield and LCA its hard to just count them out.

I have got to agree with you. I have watched Somerset games on YouTube and wow they've got size and very physical  and maybe better with number 17  playing QB..who is that good playing their back up QB in high school..most teams losing starting QB maybe in trouble...any of the top 5 should be scared to play them in 3rd round.

I just don't see B'Wood being far and away better than any of the 4. They're very solid, but, could struggle against the run. Cov Cath put up almost 500 yards rushing against them and had very little passing ability. How will they defend a team that can mix it up, which all these teams can do.

I think Murray moving up gives them a better chance to play for a title. They may not make it to Kroger but playing on Thanksgiving is a huge possibility for them. If they stayed in 2-A I think Mayfield still beats them. Then they would have to travel to Owensboro Catholic, where I think you guys would of beaten them again. 

 

I agree with this.  3A is nowhere near as top heavy as 2A.  At worst Murray should make the semis.  In 2A they are most likely the 6th best team.  They can't ever seem to get over the hump.  Maybe this is their year to make a title game.

Beechwood - always the most consistent team.  I don't think that is debatable.  And outside of LCA, play the toughest schedule in 2A.

LCA - juggernaut schedule every season.  Usually the most physical, downhill running team (maybe not this season/going off last season mostly).  I'd be hard pressed to pick another team that would win as many games as them having to play this schedule.

OC -  They have a bigger win than Mayfield (BG).  Have also played Owensboro.  I think they have a better offense than Mayfield.

Mayfield - Have played a tougher opponent than OC (Paducah), but got embarrassed in the process.   Rest of the schedule is lacking.  WKY football has been down for awhile IMO.  I like their defense.  Offense leaves something to be desired.  More mental mistakes than a typical Mayfield team.

Belfry - I know this is a really good program, but don't have much insight since they are new to 2A.  They most likely get overlooked being in EKY.  Schedule similar to Mayfield, maybe a little tougher.  Not sure how many titles they have, but I know its a lot.

I’m a numbers guy, so I LOVE the work he is doing here, but I gotta admit, @JUGGSPORTS really intimidates me now
