I don't think you can be a top 5 team in each class without being good in the trenches.

Johnson Central has long been an OL-centric program. This year's group is maybe the best they've had in several years. Very athletic.

  • The most underrated part of being a good/great lineman (and/or core unit).   "If you can't run, you can't play" doesn't just apply to the guys touching the ball. It applies equally (relatively sp

Speaking strictly on Trinity, Nate Shields is the best technical OL I have seen in maybe 25 years. His footwork is unmatched and nobody know how to use leverage and explosiveness off the ball better. This guy has gone up against 3,4 and 5 star DE's and DT's and I believe has only given up one sack since his sophomore year. He is extremely intelligent, never standing around looking for work and is an outstanding leader by example. I don't know if we have the best OL as a group, but he is the best in Kentucky. It is a true honor to watch him play the game.

I'll brag on Boyle County's DL. 84 yards on 24 carries against Highlands. Not a ton of size, but they play relentless.

DE: Jax Crowe: 5'11 197

DE: Darryl Yancey: 5'10 200

DT: Colt Kelly: 6'0 267

DT: Cliff Yocum: 6'0 275

DT: Christian Bryant: 6'2 280

DT: Briley Burris: 6'0 230

Raceland has three players one weighs in at around 320 another around 285 and another close to 350. Pretty big for a small class school.
