Elly gets a single and we have runners on first and second with 2 outs. Pirates making a pitching change.

Mets score 2 in the top of the 5th to trim the lead.  6 - 2 Cubs in the home 5th.

Reds cannot get the winning run across so headed to the 11th.

Pirates take the lead back in the top of the 11th on a double by Horrwitz to make it now 4-3 Pirates.

Cubs score 2 in their half of the 5th, now lead the Mets, 8 - 2.  Cincinnati really needs to take advantage.

Reds head to the bottom of the 11th again needing 1 to tie or two to win.

Dodgers take the lead on the D-Backs in the top of the first 1-0 and Arizona ties in the bottom of the first.

Reds have 1st and 2nd with 1 out but of course guess who's up McLain.

He flew out why we did not tag up is beyond me!

Fridel walks bases loaded and Matre is up. This is all we can ask for!

Soft groundout to 3rd Reds fall 4-3. 

Cubs beat the Mets, 10 - 3.  Reds remain just 1 game out of the final wild card spot.

Also the D-Backs fell in extra innings last night to the Dodgers. I think we have to win today and then win 2 of 3 vs. the Brewers to have a legit shot. The Mets it seems is saying hey we are offering you the last playoff spot and we are saying no thank you. lol

Reds needs to finish 3-1 to be safe I think. 2-2 and you become big Marlins fans over the weekend. Two very winnable games they have let go. If they had won both, they would be sitting pretty with basically a two game lead heading into the final 4 games.

 

I expect the Reds to win today and take at least one from Milwaukee.
