Final from Calloway County, kudos to the Lakers they were clearly the better football team this evening. First win over this Warren East program. RB Logan Smith had well over 300 yards with 5 TD’s, they dominated this Raiders front 7 from start to finish. I’m very shocked at this outcome, first district win for Calloway County in 4 years.
 

Warren East (1-4) will host district foe Franklin Simpson (3-2) next week. Calloway County (4-1) will travel to Logan County (5-0) in a district matchup.

That's a very damaging loss for the Raiders.  They'll likely have to upset someone to make the playoffs now.  

Calloway hadn't even won 4 games in a season in 9 years prior to tonight.

They won 7 games in 2016; they never won more than 3 for the next 8 years and had 3 winless seasons in that timeframe.

This is huge for Calloway.  Think they’ll have a shot to win vs Allen Co-Scottsville and/or Marshall Co.  If they can find a way to finish 5-5, it will be an impressive first season for Coach Lewis and company. Congrats Lakers!

Talk about a turn around from last year.I remember the 2008 team they had with Tyrill Willis a big running back that was a load.QB was Casey Brockman.

That was the last year Calloway was relevant, I think.  They made it to semis that year. Willis was a load!

I remember that team as well.  Watched them beat the crap out of Allen County on the road in the Region Championship.  Willis was on a different planet that night.

That class of 2011 for Allen County was special, freshman year went 1-9 and then went on to go 33-6 their next 3 seasons. Bounced by the Lakers in ‘08, faced off against a stout Lone Oak team in ‘09, and then went on to lose to Boyle at the Houch their SR year and had a chance to win that ballgame.
