The 5A favorite Scott County Cardinals return home to Georgetown after a trip out to Louisville. Coming off a 56-0 win at PRP they moved to 4-0 on the season.

A 6A Madison Central squad that’s been improving as a program comes to town off a 9-7 loss to North Laurel. They fell to 2-2 on the year, their other loss was by a point to Johnson Central.

These teams faced off last year, with the Scott County Cardinals winning in somewhat of an upset by the score of 35-21.

Historically Scott County owns Madison Central. Since 2004 Scott County is 13-0 vs the Indians. Most games have been lopsided as they were during Scott County’s reign of terror over non Louisville schools.

Will Madison Central finally beat McKee’s Cardinals? Or will Scott County continue to dominate Madison Central?

8-0 Mad Central. Scott County had them in plenty of 3rd downs but couldn’t get off the field. on the PAT they did a trick play to convert. Cards were expecting a PAT and did not get a stop.

Pushing back and forth only gets called on Scott County. Yet, when the same situation happened with Central moving ball it’s offsetting. Hard to be surprised when we lose games off plays like this at

Personally, I expect Scott County to cruise in this one, but it may turn into a defensive game.

Madison Central hasn't been able to put up points on good opponents. The defense is legit, but I don't see them suddenly finding enough offense to beat the best team they've faced so far.

I think Mad Central has an identity crisis on offense. Their scheme works well against bad and undisciplined defenses, but well coached and well built defenses don’t struggle near enough to make their run heavy ideology effective.

They rely on their defense to make it a slugfest in games vs formidable opponents and while they’ll win some here and there, they aren’t truly a threat to teams at the top their schedule.

Not to say Scott County has already won. I can see a scenario of it being a low scoring game and they squeeze one out if we aren’t careful, it’ll be a good game.

Scott Co. 35-7.

I'm with you. The margin may be a bit closer because Central isn't bad on defense, but I think Scott County wins fairly comfortably.

Mad Central up 15-0. Cards are going to have to adjust on defense playing with not near enough support in the middle.

Scott County fumbles the ball on the snap and it goes straight to a Mad Central player who runs it back for a touchdown

21-0 Mad Central.

Time to show up boys!

Looks like it’ll be one of those games.

Soph QB on 3rd and inches has some pressure and takes an awful sack. Scott county now’s going to punt.

Not exactly sure what to think. A mix of bad luck, poor discipline and young players making mistakes young players make is killing Scott County.
