Christian Academy of Louisville 62 Scott 14 (JV)

Featured Replies

Running clock just before halftime.  Scott had a couple of nice athletes and are building their program in the right direction.

CAL should play St. X and Trinity at JV and Frosh level. Teams like Scott do nothing for them other than 2nd and 3rd string get some reps.

Scott was a fill in due to a cancellation.  We just appreciate them being willing to take the game & travel 1:45 to play.

They should play them on the Varsity level.

CAL doesn't have the numbers like Trinity and St. X do.  I think people tend to forget that.  CAL only has 55 players in the program total and only 25 suited up for JV yesterday.  There are a couple of 2nd string JV kids, but definitely no 3rd string JV.  In addition, CAL doesn't even have a freshman team.  They only have a JV team.  There are only 13 players in the freshman class this year, which is fairly common for them.  8 of the 13 freshmen start JV.

I agree and I know CAL tried to schedule them this cycle with no luck.

They may not have the numbers but they have the talent to hang with them. I think they would be competitive.

Probably because of RPI. They take a hit playing a 3A team. I'd like to see them play though.

There is absolutely no upside for Trinity or St. X to play CAL. They take an RPI hit. If they win, folks say “of course, 6A vs 3A”. If they win by a few, folks say “what’s wrong with T or X”. If they win by a lot, folks say “why are they even playing CAL”. If they lose, “the world is ending”.

Sorry to hear that couldn't be worked out. Hats off to them for trying.

Numbers must be down this year.

I seem to recall in recent years V team seemed to fill the end zone in warmups - sideline to sideline.
