The Glasgow Scotties open up the new campaign under new head coach Jackson Arnett, facing off against the Clay County Bulldogs of Celina, TN. The Scotties are coming off a lackluster 2024 season finishing 5-6, and the Bulldogs of Clay County are coming off an impressive 10-3 season where they went to the quarterfinals of the 1A playoffs in TN. 
 

This matchup will take place at Barren County High School. Who wins and why? 

I have to admit I know next to nothing about Clay Co. I looked on the TSSAA website and found out they have 28 players which I would assume is pretty common for a Class A team regardless of state. They had around the same amount of players last year and was still a quality team. It appears they lost 9 seniors but they have 9 this season too. I think they are probably well coached and play hard it might be competitive through the first quarter maybe even the first half. But I think Glasgow has way to much speed and will pull away in the second half and win comfortably. My score prediction is 45-13.

Glasgow is A LOT better than people think. They should get the clock rolling in this one.

Culture in Glasgow has already become apparent with how they kept their foot on the petal against Logan. I see this being close early and the Scotties running it up late 42-14.
