The Reds won the first game 5-4 and are 22-24 and 4.5 out.

Will Benson is suddenly looking like he has figured something out. He is only 26. It feels like he is older because he has been around and back and forth. Age 26/27 is the deciding age on most players in MLB so he is still young enough to grow and become better.

Benson homered 2 more times today as the Reds sweep the Guardians with a 3-1 win.

Baseball is a crazy, unpredictable sport. Benson looks very solid at the plate. It feels like he has been able to simplify his swing and wait more on the ball. His hands are fast to the ball, compact swing.

These were my seats at the game today.  First row behind Reds dugout.  In the first picture, you can see Tito.  He never moves the whole game from that spot.  Of course, I take credit for the Reds victory today because I was in Tito's ear calling all the bench moves and bullpen changes for him!  Elly is in the second picture on deck.  The third picture is one from the big board in left field with me taking a picture of the big board in left field!  Mrs. nkypete had a great time too!
