wow! Green gets stronger and Adair now back in the chase for a 3peat! Seems like it will be Caverna, Green and Adair as the top contenders.

Completely agree with this.

Caverna is expected to name Richard Gatewood as their next head coach. Davier White has transferred to Caverna.

  • 2026 6'6 Landon Blakey has enrolled at Adair County from Larue County.

Multiple outlets online are reporting Caverna has hired Richard Gatewood, and Davier White is leaving Taylor Co. to follow him.

Heard Adair is losing the only returning starter they had from last year to transfer. Not 100% certain to where yet but Warren Central is rumored. This will be a huge loss for them and it appears team chemistry was an issue. Any clarifications from anyone would be appreciated!

Green County’s Modi Kouyate has been ruled ineligible and exemption denied by Khsaa.

Last year, when he was declared eligible, he was classified as a 12th grader. Even though he was considered a junior and a member of the class of ‘26 by the school and all the recruiting sites, he was officially a 12th grader last year.  The Khsaa has refused to change that.

I have a hard time believing this is fair as the kid is only 17 but the Khsaa has now stood by the ruling they made last year that he has already completed 8 semesters of high school at the conclusion of last year’s spring semester.

Not sure what the issue is, but lawyers are involved now. Don't see how he's not allowed to play, he didn't graduate last year.

It has nothing to do if he graduated or not it is the amount of semesters he has been in high school.
