Coach Overstreet has been relieved of his duties.  He was the coach for six seasons with a 102-66 record with 2 district championships (including this season). 

I hadn't heard any rumblings about Overstreet getting the axe until today.

Who exactly are they looking to replace him with?

McCracken also isn't going to be down like they were this year for long. They have the deepest talent pool in the region.

Winning two of the last four district titles in that district seems like a fine coaching job to me.

He was fired and forced out.  Tough standard, I'm not super familiar to the situation but maybe the football team winning a State Championship turned up the expectations??

Apparently the team's post-season banquet was yesterday as well. Also heard he was told to either resign or be fired outright.

Just incredibly questionable decision-making overall from that administration.

112-66 was his record. It was wrong in the original tweet.

That's pretty low to fire a coach the day of the banquet. 

Tilghman's basketball hasn't been much to talk about for a long time. So sad for me to say that. Seems like the talent pool hasn't been there except for a few players. Their lack of height and size has been a problem. Hopefully this won't have a negative affect on Miles Woodfork.

I've heard he turned them down. But you know how rumors are. 

Steve Prohm is unemployed.
