My feeling is that Larkin will finish somewhere in the 60% range.

On his first ballot?

I think it was both Sabo and Hal Morris.

Maybe too young, Sabo?
Sabo....:thumb: both All-Americans and Sabo, was a couple years ahead of Larkin.

Also, former MLB Pitcher Jim Abbott attended Michigan. I may be wrong, but seems like Morris attended Alabama...not sure.

Sorry, thinking of Magadan.....Morris did attend, not that I think about it.

On his first ballot?

Yes. His stats are very similar to Trammell who didn't make it in. Again, I would like to know who will be on the ballot with him. That might play a part into it. If there are other infielders in which his stats don't measure up, that will hurt him.

If he stands out as the cream of the crop on the ballot, they might help him as his stats would stand out from the others.

I'm pretty sure Morris was a Wolverine.

The All-Star appearences, MVP, and World Series also will help his cause. Have I mentioned he had a very good image and relationship with the media?

You're correct, I edited my post and I was thinking of Magadan at Alabama.

Wouldn't hurt him if he had an active and visible role with a ML team at that time.

It doesn't happen with baseball and him a whole lot.

Nope, I have to say that is the first time I have seen it.

I did preface it, with .....I may be wrong, but seems like Morris attended Alabama...not sure.

Does that still count.
