Vince Morrow to Louisville as GM?

Unless Stoops restructures his contract (he won’t), what motivates him to leave $38 million on the table?

Maybe an ambassador-type position similar to what they had in mind for Calipari? I know Stoops has good relationships with donors, although I'm not sure he's really the ambassador type. Bottom line, UK was in a bit of a tough spot anyways, and seeing Vince Marrow leave doesn't really help.

Yeah, it’s gross.

Although it sounds like he won’t be the “GM,” just in charge of recruiting.

Roster Management, Portal and Recruiting isn't being the GM?

A College Football GM isn't the same as a GM in other sports. In other sports the GM is the boss and has their hands in everything. In College Football the Head Coach is the Boss for all intents. There is an SID to handle press/media needs and an Assistant AD assigned to football to handle the business of it all. In College Football the "GM" is exactly what Vince is reportedly going to be.
