Question for anyone, is it up to each region how they choose to do it? Could other regions do the super region if they wanted?

Losing is losing though.

I wish every one would go to the super region. Make each region team play each other every year. Then use their region record to rank them, create tiebreakers, and go from there.

Respect your opinion but 100% disagree, if this were a good thing for high school basketball, then the other regions would already have the format.

What would be the purpose of holding the statewide 64 district tournaments??? An everyone-gets-in region would make districts meaningless.

Districts just don't really excite me or make a lot of sense to me. Like how are South and North Laurel not in the same district? Pineville and Bell County? Some have three teams, some have six teams. Some districts do a random draw to determine seeding instead of record against each other. Districts are meh to me.

I’m probably a lot older than you, so I can give you my perspective. I have been watching district tournaments since the early 1960s and they are very meaningful tournaments in my opinion. I know my small county school pretty much knew in most years that we would not win the region but the community alway would get pumped up for the district, to try to win that championship. And most districts have awards that have a lot of tradition. In the 56th we have an MVP award that dates back to 1979. I for one would hate to lose the tradition of the districts, which probably goes back to the late 1920s.
