February 8, 200719 yr Anybody here play Gears online? It sucks because you can't play with your friends unless you play in player matches, and the player matches aren't as competitive.

The highest I have ever been in a 27 and then anything higher than that is nothing but modders, stand-bying and just flat out cheating or poor teammates. Is it me or do you have a group of 3 other players you have to have to go into TS to get that high?
February 8, 200719 yr I got to a 31 in team slayer (lost that last night). I played a total of four games in the 31 rank. Three of them I was either modded or otherwise cheated and thus lost. The fourth was actually kinda funny. The other team had a modder, but also someone who was killing themselves constantly to try and balance it. We won 42-40. You'd be surprised about the ranking. It's above 30 where the cheating gets terrible, although you'll always encounter it once or twice at any rank (even 1, they gotta start somewhere). I was a 32 in Big Team Battle, my highest to date, and only one of the games I lost because of cheating. The others I just played like someone who was out of their league. I spent three hours this morning looking up ways to try and counteract cheaters.....

Whenever I go into TS with 3 other friends of mine we smoke most of the teams we play. I think anything above a 29 its all great team work or just cheating all day.
February 8, 200719 yr You won't like the answer I found. Most every single one said you should bridge for host. The problem is that XBox Live does not discriminate between bridging for host so you won't get cheated, and doing it so you can cheat. They consider any network manipulation cheating. Of course that doesn't explain why there are still so many cheaters, but anyway....

I wish we'd had this thread a few weeks ago. A friend of mine got us all new accounts. At one points when we were at level 30 I think it was we'd one 48 out of 50. Pretty impressive stat's. They're not near that more but we also haven't played much lately either, and I tend to be just shy of sober when I get on.:creepy:
