2025 Ashland Tomcats

"Jaws" defense wasn't a myth. No match for ST. X in the overall state championship but by today's standards X would've been a 6A squad. Herb Conley said his top 15 would've beat their top 15 seven out of 10 games but unfortunately St. X dressed 104 players that year and the Tomcats ran out of gas.

First DI offer for the versatile and underrated two-way playmaker. Davis runs, catches, and defends at a high level for the Tomcats.

Cam Davis is expected to be a prominent figure in the 4A landscape this season. As noted by DMC, he remains an underrated talent. Throughout his career, Davis has returned multiple kickoffs for touchdowns and came remarkably close last season to achieving ten rushing and ten receiving touchdowns, needing just one rushing and two receiving touchdowns to reach that milestone. He has been a strong defender as well, snagging six interceptions last season. This is all despite an injury late in the season that slowed him down.

Davis is an exceptionally challenging athlete to defend, thanks to his breakaway speed and sharp instincts. His versatility allows him to be effectively utilized both as a runner and a receiver. He demonstrates a keen ability to read the play and strategically sets up his blocks, making him a valuable asset to any offensive scheme.

Ashland audio will be broadcast on their new station 97.9 the river.

To me that is a fairly soft schedule with two tough games at the end.  Weird.

This is a problem with the current state of football in the commonwealth. But, I digress and will just agree with you.
